A Case of Sparganum mansoni in the Abdominal Wall

Abstract

|
Clinical experience with a case of sparganosis invading abdominal wall is reported. One living lava of the sparganum mansoni was successfully removed by surgery from the subcu-taneous tissue of- the abdominal wall.
The patient was a 24 year-old single girl. She had no history of ingestion of raw snakes or frogs but she had taken water of a brook during mountain climbing.
The life cycle, route-of infection and prevention of the sparganosis were discussed briefly with related literature.
